Shri. J.Subramaniam alias J.S. was born to Kolappalur Sri Jagadeesa Iyer and Smt. Parvathi Ammal in 1912 at Gobichettipalayam.
He graduated from Chennai Loyola College and in 1930 passed out with flying colours from Madras Law College. He was a great sportsman and won many laurels at the University level in Tennis, Ball Badminton and Brid

He graduated from Chennai Loyola College and in 1930 passed out with flying colours from Madras Law College. He was a great sportsman and won many laurels at the University level in Tennis, Ball Badminton and Bridge.
After completion of his studies he came back to Gobichettipalayam and started his Lawyer practice. He was an honest man and practiced Law helping the needy in an ethical way. He was awarded the Honorary Govt. Magistrate in Gobi Court and was respected for his knowledge and straightforwardness.
He was a voracious reader and had a great collection of Tamil, English & Sanskrit literature with very special interest in Kamba Ramayanam and was an organizer of Kamban Kazhagam meetings in and around Gobi.
He was a great man respected and revered for what he was by one and all. He is still remembered by the every one to whom he had extended support for education, marriages and other activities.
Bhuvana Bhavanam was the ancestral home of JS that has been converted into a Marriage Hall.

It also has an annexed dining hall with AC that can accommodate up to 800 guests in one batch and a fully covered buffet area of 7500 sq ft.
